Lilly Turned 6!

Lilly loves space, and decided to have a spaced themed birthday party this year. It was really fun looking for space decorations.
We mostly decorated with black streamers and sliver and gold stars. The pictures don't do the decorations justice, it looked really cool.
Mike and Lilly made a moon Pinata this year, it was totally out of this world :)
Lilly's cake was decorated by Mike, it is an asteroid. Lilly thought of having an asteroid for her cake and Mike made it happen, he is awesome at stuff like that.
I think Lilly's favorite gift this year was the Pillow Pet Grandma and Grandpa Y. gave her, she LOVES IT!
We had Lilly's party the day before her birthday, so on her birthday we lit up the leftover cake again, and sang and celebrated again. I think it will be a tradition, it was really fun being able to celebrate twice.
We bought Lilly K'Nex for her birthday, she really enjoys playing with them with Mike.

Here is Emma taking a swing at the Moon :)
We love Lilly so much, she is an amazing kid. Lilly had her 6-year old check up and here are her stats:
46 inches tall (although since January she has grown 1/2 more inches! (she is in the 65th%)
43lbs, she is in the 40th% for weight, when she was 3 years old, she was only in the 8th%, my has Lilly grown!
It also snowed the day before Lilly's birthday, she was so excited. Lilly said that snow was one of her birthday wishes :)
Lilly is reading so well right now and her and Mike just finished the book The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe! They are now reading the The Magician's Nephew. Lilly is reading at about a 3rd grade level and is doing fantastic in her math, she is doing first grade math also. She is a smarty pants :) I love that she is always asking questions and so curious about life. She also has a wonderful sweet spirit and testimony of Jesus. Lilly is still a very friendly girl and brings smiles to many people because of her cheerful and positive attitude about life, her smiles are contagious. We are looking forward to this next year to see what great new things Lilly will learn, or teach us :) Love you Lilly Bug!
