busy weekend

We had a very busy weekend. On Friday we traveled to Idaho where Mike's brother and his family lives. They recently had a new baby girl and we were invited to her blessing. Lilly was so excited to see her cousin Belle (they are only 2 months apart in age) and they really had a great time together. The played on the apartments playground, ran around everywhere and on Saturday they got to go on an Easter egg hunt. I only took one picture of Lilly with her new cousin Sophie, and well... it didn't turn out too good. But Lilly loved the baby and wanted to hold her and especially give her binki to her. Sophie is such an easy going baby too. I loved holding her, I love being an aunt! I didn't have to change one diaper the whole time :) Also, thanks to Lilly's awesomeness of being potty trained!
I am so happy for Mike's brother, Steve and his wife Christine to have another little baby to love.
We got back home on Saturday around 8:00 PM, just enough time to color Easter eggs and get ready for the Easter bunny to come! Lilly had a blast coloring eggs and it's been great having grandma C. out to help and spend lots of time with Lilly. It was really nice having her with us on the long drive to Idaho. Lilly was entertained the entire time! Thanks grandma C.! Lilly's favorite Easter egg was one we named humpty, Lilly accidentially bonked it on the table a little to hard and cracked it. Lilly had us put a bandaid on humpty and Lilly drew a happy face. Lilly woke us up on Easter morning and we all searched for her hidden basket. Lilly was totally excited to see what treats (mainly the chocolate ones) the bunny had left for her. She thought that this egg was cool, though. $1.10, enough to buy one item at the dollar store :)I have been sick since we left Idaho on Saturday so Mike had to do the cooking for Easter. He did a fantastic job at making our traditional Easter morning breakfast. He also made a ham for dinner, what an awesome husband!

We are back to the normal routine of life, and Mike is getting ready for finals and finishing up final projects at school. So these next few weeks should be busy too. Mike is taking Spring and Summer term, so not a whole lot of time to relax. But we decided he should get all the classes he can in so he can graduate as soon as possible, hopefully in another year or so. If anyone knows of a job for an artist, let us know :)
