The Remodel

Things were going really great with the remodel, until Mike's appendix decided to make an appearance :) Fortunately, before Mike got sick we were able to move the girls into their very own rooms! There is still a lot of finish work that needs to be done and Lilly still needs to have a closet put in her room, but it was done enough to seperate them. Mike and I thought it would be fine for them to share a room, but unfortunately it just didn't work. Emma is a really, really, really light sleeper and Lilly is a very noisey sleeper. Lilly would wake Emma up and then Emma would want to play so she would wake Lilly up. It was a endless cycle and the reward was a poor nights sleep for the entire family.
Mike is awesome and did all of the work himself, I am so glad he is such a creative thinker and very good at building things. We saved a TON of money since Mike did the work and we got exactly what we wanted.

Emma's Room

 We now have a total of 2 1/2 closets in our house! I am looking forward to the closet Mike is adding in Lilly's room. When we first moved into our home we only had 1 1/2 closets! The 1/2 closet is just big enough to fit our vacume and that's it. So the addition of closets is a WONDERFUL thing!

We stopped the remodel for awhile, while Mike healed and also so we could enjoy the nice mild spring weather. Now it's back to work and I hope to post pictures when Lilly's room is all the way done. We are also re-organizing our laundry area and added an attic ladder for more storage. Our little house is getting more organized and it feels pretty great! We are planning on staying in our house for a few (like 4-5) more years so we want to enjoy all the repairs and fixes before we move again. Our last house we fixed it and made it totally awesome and then had to move and didn't get to enjoy our hard work.
