Today was a really neat day for our little family. We got to finalize our adoption of Emma. Utah court was A LOT different that when we finalized Lilly's adoption in Washington. Today our caseworker, Mike and I had to testify in front of a judge. It was kind of intimidating and kind of fun all at the same time. The judge was really cool and let our attorney ask Lilly a few questions too :) She of course was so happy to be able to speak in court on behalf of her big sisterhood becoming legal :) I asked Lilly what her favorite part of today was and she said, "being able to talk to so many people, and the soft swively chairs." :) Our attorney mentioned that she would make a great lawyer someday :)

I was so glad that my parents got to attend our hearing today. It was really comforting knowing that they where there for us. We had a fun celebration lunch at Red Robin after the hearing too with them.

In the adoption world a lot of families refer to finalization day as Gotcha Day, it basically means we got you now and it's legal in ALL aspects. Before today we only had physical custody, we did not have full legal custody, our agency did. So now Emma is ours and we are soooooooo excited to have her sealed to our family throughout the eternities on Friday.
